Context
Hitcase came to Flywheel for help driving more qualified traffic to their website from search. They had a strong presence on social media and in retail, but felt their website was underperforming from an SEO perspective.
Process
After performing a technical audit of the Hitcase website, we discovered three main areas of improvement:
- Their website’s design assets were causing an unnecessarily high load time.
- Hitcase needed to explicitly identify target keywords for many of their cases.
- They hadn’t yet delineated to Google between their Canadian and USA sites.
As such, all of these issues were causing Google to have a difficulties understanding when to show Hitcase in the search results. Working alongside the Hitcase team, we established a baseline of performance for key terms and identified the best opportunities to drive qualified traffic. After developing a strategic framework, we moved right into a technical implementation of our recommendations. We then continued to work with Hitcase on an ongoing basis to ensure SEO best practices were followed.
